What areas do you service?
Blue Wren Park is located 20 minutes from Geelong and is an ideal outdoor wedding venue for people throughout Victoria, particularly nearby regions, including Ballarat, Colac and Melbourne. We can recommend excellent close-by accommodation for your guests who are travelling from further afield.
What is the travel time from Melbourne?
The drive from Melbourne is around one hour, however tell your guests one hour from the West Gate Bridge and they will arrive at Blue Wren Park in plenty of time.
How many people can we have at a Blue Wren Park wedding?
You select the marquee size to meet the needs of your wedding. However, as a guide on maximum numbers our marquee site easily allows for 160 people for a full sit-down reception and 200 people for a cocktail-style reception.
Can we have our choose our own wedding suppliers?
Certainly. Blue Wren Park is all about you designing your unique day. We do have recommended partners who know the venue well, but for us it’s all about you and being flexible.
Can we stay on the property?
No. We do not have accommodation on the property at Blue Wren Park but we can recommend accommodation in Geelong and the Geelong area.
What do we do if the weather is unkind?
We work with you in your wedding planning to come up with an appropriate contingency plan. While we cannot stop the rain or make the sun shine, the Blue Wren Park venue is in a beautiful sheltered valley. If you choose a marquee wedding reception, then we will relocate the ceremony to the marquee.
How private is my outdoor wedding location at Blue Wren Park, Geelong?
Blue Wren Park is an exclusive venue. You will be the only bride in our garden for that day, therefore you will not have any other brides or their guests, interrupting your ceremony and your guests won’t be wondering which ceremony is yours. Should you be a bride that is running a little late on your special day, you will not have to be in a rush to leave. Blue Wren Park’s vision is to provide brides with a unique and personal venue.
What time must our garden wedding finish?
In most cases we would suggest your ceremony is held in the mid-afternoon to maximise the garden ambience for your wedding and, of course photos, in the garden before you drive to your reception venue. As with most marquee wedding venues, as part of our council permit, evening receptions need to conclude by 11pm.
Is there bus parking?
Blue Wren Park appreciates that you may have guests travelling some distance to the wedding reception and we have ample parking space for buses.
When can we inspect Blue Wren Park?

Do you hire the property for other functions?
Yes. Not only does Blue Wren Park host outdoor wedding receptions and marquee weddings, the outside wedding venue is available for garden parties of any nature such as family reunions, birthday and other special events.
What is the travel time from Ballarat?
The driving time from Ballarat to Blue Wren Park is just 50 minutes.
What is the travel time from Geelong?
The driving time from the Geelong Ring Road to Blue Wren Park is 10 minutes, and 20 minutes from Geelong’s CBD.
What is the travel time from Colac?
The driving time from Colac to Blue Wren Park is one hour, 10 minutes.
